A prime consideration for Henry and his team when considering an access control solution was the requirement to not only secure the guest rooms but also back of house doors and external gates as well. Together with this, they also needed to have full control over who could access what, when and where. The answer was the SALTO XS4 access control platform which is the perfect choice for updating and controlling and combines electronic door components, peripherals and software, providing tailor-made wire-free networked access control.
SALTO delivered a cutting-edge, access control solution that improves the guest experience and operations. With 27 doors across the property to secure, the SALTO XS4 keypads and wall readers give the hotel the simple yet secure access control it needs. The keypad permits maximum flexibility without sacrificing security with three authentication modes available. Its system of intelligent keypad lighting activates automatically when needed.
The SALTO JustIN Mobile technology delivers not only the capability for guests to gain entry to the property and their guest room, but also a convenient way to check-in to their room and keep in touch with the hotel concierge during their stay. Guests receive a text or email notification when their room is ready via the hotel’s branded Stow-Away app and can check out, as well, via the JustIN Mobile-integrated application.
In addition to the guest experience, the SALTO solution improves management and operations. Because guests can manage access via the mobile application, it frees up front desk staff to tend to additional tasks. It also gives them up-to-the-minute information about whether a guest is in the room and more control over resources like air conditioning and lighting, so they aren’t wasting electricity costs in an empty guestroom.
